Once chief of the Tetlit Gwich’in of Fort McPherson, NWT, Robert Alexie offers a dramatic, haunting glimpse of a northern community’s struggle with the impact of the residential school system imposed on Canada’s First Nations in his novel Porcupines and China Dolls. Robert lives in Inuvik. Robert tours Calgary, the Okanagan and Vancouver.
